Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid an urgent visit to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital in New Delhi on Wednesday to meet those injured in the recent Red Fort blast. Modi returned from a two-day state visit to Bhutan and headed straight to the hospital, underscoring the gravity of the national tragedy that left 10 dead and over 20 injured.
According to sources, the Prime Minister personally interacted with each patient, offering words of encouragement and wishing them a speedy recovery. Hospital officials and doctors briefed him on the condition of the injured, and Modi inquired about their medical needs and progress.
The Red Fort blast, which occurred at one of Delhi’s most iconic tourist spots, has prompted a swift response from authorities. Modi assured that the perpetrators behind the deadly explosion would not be spared and emphasized that justice would be delivered promptly.
For security reasons, the Prime Minister entered LNJP Hospital through a separate back gate, bypassing the main entrance and media, highlighting the sensitive nature of his visit.
This visit reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the victims of the Red Fort blast while reinforcing national security measures and accountability for such attacks. Authorities continue to investigate the incident to bring those responsible to justice.
