Passengers stuck in Air India plane without AC for 5 hours in Dubai

New Delhi: Many passengers, including children and elderly people, had to sit inside an Air India Express plane without air conditioning for almost five hours at Dubai airport. This happened on June 13, when Flight IX 196, going from Dubai to Jaipur (Rajasthan), got delayed due to a technical issue.

People inside the plane were seen sweating badly. Several videos shared by passengers showed how uncomfortable the situation was. The outside temperature was around 40°C, and there was no proper cooling inside the aircraft.

The flight was supposed to leave at 7:25 PM but took off much later at 12:45 AM. Passengers said that the airline did not provide enough drinking water either. Some elderly travelers also said they felt sick because of the extreme heat and lack of fresh air.

Many passengers are now demanding answers from the airline’s management and want the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to take strict action. They feel the situation was badly handled, and there was no proper care given to the people stuck inside.

As of now, Air India Express has not made any official statement about the incident
