Oman Air has announced that it will start direct flights between Muscat and Amsterdam. This will be the airline’s 11th European city, as it continues to grow its network. The flights will begin on July 1, 2025, and there will be four flights every week.
The was shared during a special ceremony that took place while Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman was visiting the Netherlands. The ceremony was attended by Con Korfiatis, the CEO of Oman Air, and Pieter van Oord, the CEO of Royal Schiphol Group.

Con Korfiatis said, "We are excited to start flying directly to Amsterdam. This is our first connection to this amazing city. As we grow, we choose destinations that help both tourism and business. Europe is an important market for us, and Amsterdam is a great place for both holiday and business travel."
Pieter van Oord added, “This new direct flight is an important step in bringing our two countries closer together. It will make it easier for people to travel between Oman and the Netherlands. I believe both countries will benefit from this new connection.”
The flights between Muscat and Amsterdam will be operated by Oman Air’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. This modern plane is known for being comfortable. The new service will run during the summer, and it will connect passengers to over 40 other destinations, including countries like Thailand, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Zanzibar.
Amsterdam will also be the first new destination for Oman Air after it joins the oneworld Alliance. This is a big move for the airline, as passengers flying in Business Class or with oneworld’s Emerald, Sapphire, and Sindbad Gold & Silver memberships will be able to use the oneworld Lounge at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
Oman Air’s new flight to Amsterdam is an exciting step in connecting Oman with more cities in Europe and the world. This will make it easier for people to travel for both work and holidays.
