Participants included several government agencies, local associations, and residents who contributed to the scattering of seeds for pasture plants such as Rimth saltbush, Arfaj, Lemongrass, and Fourwing saltbush, alongside wild tree seeds like Acacia tortilis, Acacia seyal, and Acacia salam.

The primary goal of this initiative is to rejuvenate vegetation cover across the Kingdom while raising awareness of the significance of afforestation efforts. The initiative aims to create green spaces that address issues of desertification and soil erosion, ultimately preserving a healthy environment. Additionally, it seeks to rehabilitate desert lands and improve vegetation in the region.

Khalid Al-Saidi, a representative from NCVC, highlighted that the center’s CEO oversees these initiatives to align with the broader objectives of Vision 2030. He emphasized that this project is in accordance with the Saudi Green Initiative launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, aimed at protecting natural resources, combating desertification, and promoting vegetation growth throughout the Kingdom.
