A woman from Mumbai has shown that travelling to Japan doesn’t always have to be expensive. Charmy, a travel content creator, shared how she completed a 9-day trip across Japan for just ₹1.25 lakh. Her story has inspired many people to believe that with proper planning, anyone can enjoy an international trip without spending too much.

Charmy shared the full cost of her trip in a video on her Instagram page, Charmy Travels, on October 17. She said she was surprised that people still think Japan is too costly to visit. In her video, she said, “In just ₹1,25,000, I did my 9-day trip to Japan, and I’ll give you a complete cost breakdown.”

Budget Planning and Smart Choices

Charmy explained that the secret to her affordable trip was smart planning and advance booking. She booked her flights early and selected budget-friendly stays across Japan. Her flight route was Mumbai → Tokyo → Osaka → Tokyo → Mumbai, and the total airfare came to ₹40,600 per person.

For accommodation, Charmy chose a mix of hotels and Airbnb rooms. In Tokyo, she stayed at a hotel costing around ₹5,600 per night. In Kyoto, she booked an Airbnb for about ₹2,500 per night, while her Osaka hotel cost ₹3,800 per night. Overall, her stay expenses added up to about ₹35,000 per person.

Travel, Food, and Activities

Charmy said that she prepaid for her main activities and excursions, which cost around ₹32,200. These included popular tourist attractions, sightseeing passes, and city experiences.

For daily food and transportation, she spent around ₹17,000 to ₹18,000 in total. She mentioned that her entire trip—including flights, hotels, excursions, transport, and meals—came to ₹1.25 lakh. She joked, “Don’t ask how much I shopped for, that’s for another time.”

Example of Affordable International Travel

Charmy’s trip proves that with good planning, international travel can be done on a small budget. She shared that she booked most things in advance to avoid last-minute high costs. By mixing hotels with Airbnb stays and choosing local transport over taxis, she managed to cut down expenses.

Her video encouraged many of her followers to plan similar budget trips. “Save this and plan your next Japan trip soon,” she wrote in her post.

Inspiring Other Travelers

Many people in the comments thanked Charmy for sharing her detailed expenses and realistic prices. Some said they had always dreamed of visiting Japan but thought it was too costly. Others asked for her day-wise itinerary to help plan their own travels.

Japan is known for its rich culture, delicious food, clean cities, and efficient public transport. With Charmy’s detailed example, more Indian travelers now see that exploring Japan doesn’t have to be only for those with large travel budgets.

Her post has become a source of motivation for people who love to travel but often worry about expenses. Charmy’s Japan trip shows that careful planning, flexibility, and smart booking can make your dream vacation affordable and memorable.
