His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, recently met with His Excellency Chen Miner, a Member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party and the Communist Party Secretary of Tianjin. The meeting took place as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between the UAE and the People's Republic of China.

Sheikh Mohammed extended a warm welcome to Chen Miner and his delegation, highlighting the robust and multifaceted cooperation between the two nations. He emphasized the UAE and China's shared commitment to enhancing their strategic partnership, driven by a unified vision for progress and prosperity. Sheikh Mohammed also acknowledged the significant role of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of China, in fostering the growth of UAE-China relations.

The discussion was also attended by prominent UAE officials, including His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group. The meeting focused on exploring avenues for deepening bilateral cooperation, particularly in sectors that align with the future aspirations of both countries.

Key topics of discussion included strategies for further strengthening trade relations, with China currently being the UAE's largest global trading partner. The conversation also highlighted opportunities arising from the Belt and Road Initiative, underscoring the UAE’s strategic position as a major regional and global trading hub. In addition, the discussions covered potential expansion in investment, industry, technology, and clean energy, leveraging the strengths of both nations.
