Majid Al Futtaim Launches A&F E-Commerce, Expands Middle East

Dubai – Majid Al Futtaim has strengthened its long-standing relationship with Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (A&F Co.) by launching the U.S. retailer’s first local e-commerce platforms in the Middle East and planning further regional expansion of its stores.

The new online stores for Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister are now live in Saudi Arabia, with Qatar scheduled to follow in the coming months. The partnership also includes expansion rights into Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon, marking Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle’s entry into these new markets.

This development builds on a 16-year partnership between Majid Al Futtaim and A&F Co., and reflects a broader omnichannel growth strategy that combines physical stores with digital platforms. Fran Horowitz, CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch Co., said the expansion aims to “meet customers where they are” while tapping into new markets. Fahed Ghanim, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle, described the agreement as a “milestone for scaling the brands further across the Middle East.”

Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle reported a 26% increase in revenue and a 31% rise in digital sales in 2024, with momentum continuing into 2025. The company opened 20 new stores in the first half of the year, including an Abercrombie & Fitch outlet at Riyadh’s Solitaire Mall. Overall, Majid Al Futtaim now operates 105 stores and 32 e-commerce platforms across its Lifestyle portfolio.

The renewed agreement underscores the company’s focus on strengthening strategic partnerships and accelerating omnichannel retail growth in the region. Analysts note that the expansion of A&F Co.’s e-commerce presence and physical stores in new Middle East markets could significantly enhance accessibility and brand visibility for regional consumers.
