A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 hit Myanmar on Sunday, according to information shared by the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The earthquake shook the ground at a depth of 35 kilometers, which is about 21.75 miles beneath the surface.
The tremor was powerful enough to be felt in nearby areas, although there are no reports yet about damage or injuries. Authorities are still checking for any possible impact in the region.
