Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, visited GITEX GLOBAL on Wednesday, emphasizing the exhibition's vital role in fostering international collaborations in technology. This year's event is taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from October 14 to 18 and marks the 44th edition of GITEX GLOBAL, which has set new records for global participation. Over 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from more than 180 countries have come together, making it the largest and most acclaimed tech event worldwide.
During her visit, Sheikha Latifa highlighted the significance of collaboration in achieving digital transformation. She stated, “As nations strive to accelerate tangible progress while pursuing digital socio-economic sustainability, constructive and mutually beneficial collaboration and cooperation that transcends geographic boundaries is imperative. With the brightest minds, remarkably creative talents, and most pioneering enterprises and startups working side-by-side, humanity can prosper in ways past generations could never have imagined. This is why GITEX GLOBAL is more significant than ever on its 44th anniversary.”
Her Highness toured various pavilions and booths showcasing both local and international companies displaying their latest digital services and products. She noted GITEX GLOBAL’s status as one of the UAE’s most iconic and influential international events, expressing confidence in its future impact on global technological transformation. "Being here in person and seeing the engagement and camaraderie firsthand, there should be no doubt that GITEX GLOBAL will play a starring role in the global community’s technological transformation long into the future. By bringing the entire technology ecosystem together, we are destined to thrive long into the future,” she added.
