Rapper Kendrick Lamar gave a powerful show at the Super Bowl, making the crowd go wild and keeping millions of people glued to their screens at home. The event took place at the Superdome in New Orleans, where Lamar was welcomed onto the stage by actor Samuel L. Jackson, who was dressed like Uncle Sam in a tall hat. The stage was set, and the excitement grew as dancers in white, red, and blue jumped out of a Buick Grand National GNX, a car that inspired the name of Lamar’s latest album, GNX.

Lamar, who is 37 years old, started strong with songs like Squabble Up and DNA, making the crowd cheer and sing along. At one point, he looked at a group of female dancers and teased the audience by saying, "I want to perform their favorite song, but you know they want to sue."The beat of Not Like Us began to play, making fans excited, but instead of singing it, Lamar switched to a duet of Luther with R&B singer SZA.
This moment became a big talking point because Not Like Us is part of Lamar’s ongoing fight with rapper Drake**. People had been wondering if Lamar would sing the song, as Drake had recently taken legal action against Universal Music Group. Drake claimed that the song made **false and harmful accusations**, which put his safety and his family in danger.
Even with all the drama, Lamar still decided to perform the song. However, when he reached a sensitive part of the lyrics, he did not say the word **"paedophiles"** and instead let out a loud scream. He also kept the line about "A minor", which the audience loudly sang with him.
Just one week before this performance, Not Like Us had won five Grammy Awards, making Lamar’s total **22 Grammys in his career**. This Super Bowl performance proved again why he is one of the biggest names in music today.
The Super Bowl halftime show has always been a stage for top music stars, with legends like Beyoncé, Prince, Madonna, Lady Gaga, and the Rolling Stones** performing in past years. More than 100 million people in the U.S. watched this event live, making it the most-watched show of the year. Lamar’s performance will surely be remembered as one of the most powerful moments in Super Bowl history.
