Abu Dhabi has made a big step toward a cleaner and greener future by changing Bus Service No. 65 into an eco-friendly service. The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of Abu Dhabi Mobility, which is part of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), has replaced normal buses with green buses that run on hydrogen and electric power. This change helps to keep the air clean and protects nature.

This is part of a bigger plan to make Abu Dhabi Island a Public Transport Green Zone by 2030. Abu Dhabi Mobility wants to turn half of the city’s public transport into green buses. This will help reduce 200 tonnes of carbon every day, which is the same as removing 14,700 cars from the roads. With this plan, Abu Dhabi is working hard to keep the air fresh and safe for everyone.

Bus Service No. 65 is one of the busiest routes in Abu Dhabi. It runs between Marina Mall and Al Reem Island, carrying about 6,000 people every day and covering over 2,000 kilometers. Changing this route to green buses will help many people enjoy clean and smooth travel while reducing harmful smoke and pollution.

But the change does not stop here. Abu Dhabi Mobility is also adding green buses to other important routes, such as Route 160, which connects Capital Park to Khalifa City, and Route A2, which links Abu Dhabi City to Zayed International Airport. These steps will make public transport more friendly to nature and improve the travel experience for all.

The new green buses use hydrogen fuel cells and electric batteries instead of diesel. These buses do not produce dirty smoke and help keep the air fresh. They also use less energy and provide a quieter and smoother ride for passengers. Abu Dhabi is leading the way in using smart and clean transport to protect the environment.

Abu Dhabi Mobility is also making sure that passengers are comfortable and happy. Special systems check how well the buses are working and listen to what passengers need. Surveys and feedback help to improve bus services so that people can enjoy safe and easy travel.

This change is part of Abu Dhabi’s promise to take care of nature, which was recently discussed at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit. It also supports the UAE’s big plan to have zero carbon pollution by 2050. With these new green buses, Abu Dhabi is showing the world how cities can grow while still protecting the environment.

By making public transport cleaner and greener, Abu Dhabi is making sure that the city has fresher air, less pollution, and better health for all people. The city is moving toward a future where transport is not only fast and comfortable but also safe for nature and good for everyone.
