Israeli Fans Attacked in Amsterdam After Football Match; 10 Injured

Reports also suggested that there was at least one attempted abduction during the chaos.

The Israeli Embassy in the Netherlands quickly mobilized to assist those affected, helping relocate Israelis to safer areas. The Israeli Embassy in the United States also set up emergency hotlines for citizens in need of assistance. Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett publicly called on Dutch authorities to intervene, while Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar confirmed that he had been in contact with Dutch officials and had set up a hotline for Israelis requiring aid. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office stated that two planes had been arranged to bring Israelis home safely.

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, strongly condemned the violence, calling it a "pogrom" and labeling the attackers as supporters of radical terrorism. He urged the Western world to wake up to the severity of the situation and take immediate action against such acts of violence.

As the investigation continues, the incident has sparked widespread calls for increased security measures at future football matches involving teams from politically charged regions.
