Additionally, two airstrikes hit the southeast village of Mays al-Jabal, resulting in the death of two Hezbollah members and the injury of another. Another strike occurred in the town of al-Qusayr on the Lebanese-Syrian border, killing one Hezbollah member and injuring another. Hezbollah responded by attacking several Israeli sites.
These events unfolded amidst heightened tensions along the Lebanon-Israel border, stemming from Hezbollah's rocket barrage towards Israel on October 8, 2023, in solidarity with Hamas' attack the day before. In retaliation, Israel launched heavy artillery fire towards southeastern Lebanon. According to Lebanese security sources, the clashes between Hezbollah and Israel have resulted in the deaths of 477 people on the Lebanese side, including 301 Hezbollah members and 89 civilians.
