On Day 2 of the 4th Test between India and England, India faced an early setback as captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed for two runs by Jimmy Anderson. At the Lunch break, Yashasvi Jaiswal (27*) and Shubman Gill (4*) were at the crease, with India at 341/1, trailing by 319 runs.
Earlier in the day, Ravindra Jadeja played a crucial role by picking up three wickets in quick succession during the first session. His dismissals included Ollie Robinson and Shoaib Bashir, breaking an important partnership and putting India back in the game. Jadeja's efforts limited England to 353 runs.
Ollie Robinson, however, made a significant contribution for England by scoring his maiden Test fifty. Meanwhile, Joe Root stood strong, scoring a gritty century and remaining unbeaten on 122. Root found support in Ollie Robinson as they put up a resistance against the Indian bowlers.
The day's updates were provided by Lalith Kalidas, Pratyush Raj, and Sandip G from Ranchi.
