UAE citizens assist flood-affected Sharjah students in going back to school

UAE residents rallied together to offer assistance to Pakistani children, Asif aged 6, and Aamir aged 12, who faced the distressing prospect of discontinuing their education due to the recent floods that submerged their home in Sharjah’s Al Sabka neighborhood. The floods, which occurred on April 16, not only devastated their modest abode but also destroyed their furniture, household appliances, and recently purchased school supplies.

In the wake of the calamity, their mother, Saima, voiced her concerns about the family's financial struggles, particularly regarding the children's education. She lamented the loss of their savings, which were initially allocated for school fees but were now redirected towards cleaning and restoring their home.

However, the community's response was swift and overwhelming. Following the publication of the article, numerous residents reached out to offer their support to the family. Saima expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of assistance, stating that everything had been taken care of, thanks to the generosity of strangers.

Generous individuals extended financial aid to cover the children's school fees, replace their damaged books and stationery, and contribute towards the repair of their home. Despite the devastation caused by the floods, the family found solace in the kindness of others. Their spirits lifted as they witnessed the community's compassion and support during their time of need.
