The tourism sector in Hong Kong is set to thrive as the 39th International Travel Expo (ITE) takes place at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from June 12 to 15, 2025. Organized by TKS Exhibition Services, this significant event will feature around 500 exhibitors from over 60 countries and regions, including tourism boards, airlines, agencies, and hotels.
The expo will span four days, with the first two days reserved for trade professionals, facilitating B2B networking, product displays, and travel seminars. The last two days will be open to the public, showcasing premium travel packages, interactive exhibits, photo opportunities, cultural performances, cosplay areas, and souvenirs aimed at families and Gen Z travelers.
ITE Hong Kong has been officially designated as a “Mega Event” by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, highlighting its importance in boosting visitor numbers and revitalizing the regional MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) sector. The expo's size reflects the city's recovery, returning to pre-pandemic attendance levels and aligning with broader tourism initiatives like Rugby Sevens and Art Basel.
During the public days (June 14–15), attendees can look forward to a lively display of travel trends, with themed areas for family travel featuring activities such as cosplay catwalks and “travel passports,” along with a Youth Pavilion showcasing tourism-inspired products from Gen Z creators. Concurrent seminars led by industry experts will cover topics like sustainable travel, experiential tours, MICE strategies, and digital marketing.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) serves as a vital hub, managing passenger and cargo logistics for exhibitors and attendees, and benefiting from upcoming developments like the Skytopia megaproject.
Trade visitors can access seminars, business-matching services, and exhibitor booths on June 12–13. Public ticket prices range from HK$25 to HK$70, with discounts available for seniors and children.
The scale and programming of ITE indicate a strategic effort by Hong Kong to reconnect with international travelers, focusing on immersive travel experiences and accelerating tourism recovery in the Greater Bay Area. As global visitors return, the expo serves as both a measure and a driver of Hong Kong’s renewed travel aspirations.
For more information, visitors can check ITE’s official website and social media channels. Get ready—Hong Kong is welcoming global travel enthusiasts and industry professionals with open arms.
