His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, has issued significant resolutions regarding appointments within The Executive Council of Dubai. Acting in his role as Chairman of The Executive Council, Sheikh Hamdan announced the appointment of three key officials to serve as deputies to the Council's Secretary General. These appointments, aimed at enhancing governance, sustainable development, and government services, mark an important step in strengthening the Council’s operational framework.
Under Executive Council Resolution No. (86) of 2024, Sheikh Hamdan appointed Hamda Mohammed Jassim bin Kalban as Assistant Secretary General for the Governance Sector. With a wealth of experience in governance and administration, Hamda Mohammed Jassim bin Kalban is expected to drive efforts that fortify the Council’s governance structure and reinforce effective management practices.

Executive Council Resolution No. (87) of 2024 sees the appointment of Samira Mohammed Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Rais as Assistant Secretary General for the Sustainable Development Sector. Known for her expertise in sustainable development, Samira Mohammed Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Rais will lead initiatives aimed at advancing Dubai's ambitious sustainability agenda, aligning the Council’s efforts with the broader goals of environmental responsibility and long-term growth.
Further strengthening the Council’s leadership, Executive Council Resolution No. (88) of 2024 appoints Dr. Hazza Khalfan Matar Al Nuaimi as Assistant Secretary General for the Excellence and Government Services Sector. Dr. Hazza Khalfan Matar Al Nuaimi, renowned for his dedication to excellence in government services, will work to elevate service standards within the Council, ensuring a focus on efficiency, quality, and public satisfaction.
These appointments are effective immediately from the date of issuance, underscoring the swift implementation of these leadership decisions. All resolutions will be formally published in the Official Gazette, marking their official adoption. Sheikh Hamdan’s appointments reflect Dubai’s commitment to excellence and sustainable growth, reinforcing the Council’s capacity to lead in governance, sustainability, and service delivery.
