The theme of the summit is "Resilient by Design: The Next Frontier in Industry Safety." This means making industries safer and ready for future problems. Experts from different countries will come to share ideas about keeping factories and workplaces safe. They will talk about fixing problems early, finding risks fast, and using new tools like computers and machines to help.

People from governments, businesses, and schools will also talk about how they can work together to solve safety problems. The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority and the Global Initiative for Industrial Safety (GIFIS) will help lead these talks. They will focus on using new technology to make industries safer.

Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, the UAE Minister of Industry, said the UAE is using modern ideas to make industries safer and better for the environment. He also asked companies to join the Make It in the Emirates Forum in May 2025. This forum is a chance for businesses to show their new products and ideas.

The GIFIS Manifesto is a plan created after the 2021 GMIS Summit. This plan focuses on safety at work and was made with help from UNIDO and the University of Cambridge.

Gerd Müller, the leader of UNIDO, said that many workers in poorer countries work in unsafe places, and this needs to change. He praised the UAE for leading efforts to make industries safer. He said he is happy the summit is returning to Abu Dhabi, a place where experts can share knowledge.

The summit also shows Abu Dhabi's goal to improve its industries and economy. The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) is working on new ideas like smart cars, farming technology, and space technology to make industries better and safer.

Shamis Ali Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of ADCCI, said they are happy to host this event again in Abu Dhabi. He said this shows Abu Dhabi is serious about improving industries and meeting world needs. He looks forward to experts from all over the world sharing ideas on safety and technology.

Brigadier Salem Abdullah bin Barrak Al Dhaheri, from the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, said they are using new tools to make workplaces safer. He believes GMIS 2024 will help improve safety for workers everywhere.

In short, GMIS 2024 is a big meeting to talk about how to make industries safer and stronger. It will help Abu Dhabi lead the way in making workplaces better for the future.
