Global AI Workshop in D.C. Boosts Governance Ties

In a significant collaboration, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the World Bank are conducting an international workshop dubbed “Towards the Future: AI Governance and International Cooperation.” Running from April 6 to 10, this event gathers global experts, organizations, and government representatives in the heart of Washington, D.C.

The primary focus of the workshop is to enhance global governance frameworks for artificial intelligence, encouraging best practices while fostering responsible technology usage. Additionally, it aims to support the emergence of a secure digital ecosystem that aligns with sustainable development objectives.

Key topics under discussion include bolstering multilateral collaboration, ensuring alignment between international frameworks and national policies, and effectively addressing challenges stemming from rapid AI advancements.

Alongside the main workshop, SDAIA is organizing a special event, “Saudi Day,” in partnership with the Digital Government Authority and the World Bank. This platform emphasizes Saudi Arabia’s strategic model for integrating advanced AI technologies, showcasing successful applications across various sectors.

The event will also showcase initiatives aimed at improving digital infrastructure in the Kingdom, enhancing government efficiency, and elevating the quality of life for its citizens.
