Flydubai Launches New Route from Dubai to Bhairahawa, Nepal

Flydubai has announced the launch of a new daily service connecting Dubai to Bhairahawa, Nepal, effective from 10 November 2024. This service will operate from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and provide travelers with a convenient route to one of Nepal’s emerging international airports, Gautam Buddha International Airport (BWA). The return flights will be routed through Kathmandu, reflecting the increasing demand for travel between Dubai and Nepal. 

Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at Flydubai for the UAE, GCC, Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent, emphasized the significance of Bhairahawa Airport, noting that it serves the Lumbini Province, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha. He expressed satisfaction at Flydubai's commitment to offering reliable travel options via Dubai's aviation hub. Since beginning operations to Nepal in 2009 with direct flights to Kathmandu, Flydubai has successfully transported over three million passengers, fostering trade and tourism between Nepal and the UAE. The airline recently expanded its services to include new destinations such as Basel in Switzerland and cities in Pakistan and Iran, bringing its network to 126 destinations across 55 countries.

The daily flights to Gautam Buddha International Airport will operate under flight number FZ 8639 (EK 2292) with departure from Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 08:15 AM, arriving in Bhairahawa at 02:00 PM. The return leg from BWA will proceed via Kathmandu, departing at 03:00 PM and arriving in Kathmandu at 03:45 PM before departing from KTM at 04:45 PM and arriving back in Dubai at 08:10 PM. All times are local. 

Return Business Class fares from DXB to BWA will start from AED 3,600, while Economy Class Lite fares will begin at AED 1,800. For flights returning from BWA to DXB, Business Class fares start from NPR 145,000 and Economy Class Lite fares from NPR 70,000. Passengers can book flights through Flydubai's official website, the Flydubai app, or via the UAE Contact Centre at (+971) 600 54 44 45. Bookings are also available at Flydubai travel shops and through travel partners.
