Flydubai and Batik Air Malaysia announced a new interline agreement today, aimed at expanding travel options for passengers by connecting flydubai’s network with over 40 destinations on Batik Air's routes across Southeast Asia. This partnership will allow flydubai passengers to connect seamlessly through Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) to destinations such as Hanoi, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Osaka, and Sydney, enhancing access across the region.
The agreement aims to streamline the travel experience, offering passengers the convenience of a single booking and through-checked baggage. By combining their networks, flydubai and Batik Air are positioning themselves to provide greater connectivity options between the UAE, Malaysia, and other parts of Asia, allowing travelers to easily explore new routes and destinations.
This collaboration also extends benefits to Batik Air passengers, who can now connect to flydubai’s network of 38 destinations across Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and Southeast Europe, the GCC, and the Middle East. Passengers will have expanded access to key cities and emerging travel destinations, supporting both leisure and business travel needs.

Batik Air’s CEO, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, noted that the partnership marks a significant advancement in expanding travel possibilities for Batik Air’s customers. He highlighted that this interline agreement is part of Batik Air’s ongoing commitment to broaden travel horizons for its passengers by aligning with other prominent carriers.
Through this strategic alliance, both airlines aim to meet the growing demand for connectivity between the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and beyond, supporting tourism and trade links while offering passengers greater flexibility and ease of travel on combined route networks.
