A tragic incident unfolded in New Jersey, USA, where six-year-old Corey Micciolo lost his life due to what authorities described as "chronic abuse" inflicted by his father, Christopher Gregor. The heart-wrenching details emerged during Christopher Gregor's trial for murder charges.

Surveillance footage played during the trial depicted Christopher Gregor forcing his son to run on a treadmill at a fitness center, despite the child's evident struggles to maintain balance. The distressing scene showed Corey repeatedly falling off the treadmill while his father persistently placed him back on it. Shockingly, there were moments where Christopher Gregor appeared to bite his son's head before coercing him to continue running.

Corey's mother, Breanna Micciolo, testified tearfully, witnessing the harrowing gym footage. She had reported her son's injuries to child protection services after noticing them days following the gym incident. Corey disclosed to medical professionals that his father compelled him to run on the treadmill because he believed the child was "too fat."

Tragically, Corey's health deteriorated rapidly after the treadmill incident. Christopher Gregor rushed him to the hospital when Corey exhibited symptoms of distress, including stumbling, slurred speech, and nausea. Despite medical intervention, Corey passed away after suffering a seizure during a CT scan.

An autopsy revealed Corey's cause of death to be "blunt force injuries" coupled with cardiac and liver contusions, acute inflammation, and sepsis—all indicative of severe physical abuse.

Christopher Gregor faced arrest on child neglect charges, accused of subjecting Corey to repeated trauma, including forcing him to run on the treadmill and inflicting physical harm.
