Tragedy struck on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur district, claiming the lives of six members of a family in a devastating collision between their car and a truck. The fatal incident occurred near the Banas river bridge when the family, en route from Sikar district to the Trinetra Ganesh temple in Ranthambore, encountered a truck attempting a U-turn.
CCTV footage from the expressway captured the moment of impact, revealing that the truck driver's erroneous maneuver intersected with the path of the oncoming car, resulting in a catastrophic collision. The victims, identified as Manish Sharma, his wife Anita Sharma, Satish Sharma, Poonam, his aunt Santosh, and his friend Kailash, tragically lost their lives in the accident. Additionally, two children, Manan and Deepali, sustained serious injuries in the collision.
