Family Development Foundation Launches Special Summer Program at Al Dar Centers

The Family Development Foundation (FDF) has launched the "Our Summer is Special" initiative for the period from July 1 to August 1, 2024. This initiative is being implemented across all Al Dar Children and Youth Club centers located in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Al Dhafra Region of the United Arab Emirates. The program aims to engage children and youth during their summer break with a diverse range of activities focused on education, awareness, and recreation.

Asila Al Kalbani, the Director of the Child and Youth Department at the Family Development Foundation, highlighted the distinctive nature of this year's summer program. It offers a comprehensive lineup of workshops tailored to meet the needs of families and community members, especially children and youth. These workshops cover various themes such as enhancing sibling relationships, strengthening parent-child bonds, and developing essential digital skills.

Interactive sessions include topics like 'Different but Unique,' 'Bridge of Communication,' 'Digital Addiction,' 'Digital Generation Heroes,' 'Effective Listening Adventure,' 'My Personal Boundaries,' 'Together Despite Our Differences,' 'Art of Communication,' and 'Emotion Expert.' These workshops aim to educate participants on important life skills, promote healthy habits, and foster understanding of rights and responsibilities within families and communities.

The initiative also emphasizes sustainability through major activities that raise awareness about environmental conservation and social responsibility. By providing these services, programs, and activities, the FDF seeks to instill ethical values, enhance personal and social skills, and contribute to building a cohesive and educated community capable of addressing various social challenges.
