Etihad Airways Expands Abu Dhabi-Rome Flights

Etihad Airways has unveiled plans to enhance its services to Rome by introducing double-daily flights from Abu Dhabi Zayed International (AUH) starting November 1, 2024. The national airline of the UAE aims to meet the rising demand from customers, increasing its weekly flights from 11 to twice a day.

Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, expressed excitement about the new offering, stating, "Our double-daily Rome flights with morning and afternoon departures from Abu Dhabi, coupled with attractive fares, will provide convenient options for UAE residents seeking a getaway to Italy. Additionally, the expanded flight schedule from Rome offers travelers arriving in Abu Dhabi more flexibility to explore both business and leisure opportunities in the city. This move reinforces our dedication to welcoming more guests to experience Abu Dhabi while strengthening connections to our expanding global network."

Etihad's double-daily flights to Rome will result in nearly 10,000 seats being available each week between Abu Dhabi and Rome, marking a substantial 22 percent year-on-year capacity increase. The flights will be operated using Boeing 787-9 and Boeing 777-300 aircraft from Etihad's modern wide-body fleet, featuring the airline's acclaimed cabin service.

Passengers can take advantage of Etihad's Wi-Fly services, with complimentary chat packages for Etihad Guest members and the option to purchase a full Surf package for unlimited data throughout the flight. This strategic expansion reflects Etihad Airways' commitment to providing enhanced travel options and fostering increased connectivity for its passengers.
