Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower) has started running the first part of its new cooling plant in Jumeirah Beach Hills (JBH). This is a big step for Empower as it helps bring cooling services to famous buildings and places in Dubai.
When all parts of the plant are finished, it will have a cooling power of 48,000 refrigeration tons (RT). This cooling power will keep homes, hotels, and buildings in Jumeirah Beach Hills cool. Jumeirah is known worldwide as a luxury area with beautiful hotels, homes, and tourist places.
The new cooling plant will help some of Dubai's most famous places. It will cool the Burj Al Arab, one of the world’s most luxurious hotels, and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. It will also cool Marsa Al Arab, a new and special landmark, along with Madinat Jumeirah Living and Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel. Later, the plant will also cool more places, like Souk Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah Al Qasr Hotel, and Jumeirah Mina A’Salam Hotel.

Empower built the cooling plant using top international standards. The plant is designed to save energy and help protect the environment. The look of the plant matches the buildings and style of Jumeirah Beach Hills, so it fits in with the area.
Ahmad Bin Shafar, the CEO of Empower, talked about this new plant. He said, “Empower is growing its cooling services in Dubai to help big projects. We are giving cooling that is good for the environment and also helps people. Jumeirah is a special place, known for its luxury and beauty. We are proud to provide world-class cooling to these famous buildings.”
He also said that the new plant will help Jumeirah grow even more. Jumeirah is already popular with tourists and people who live there. This plant will keep hotels, homes, and resorts cool, making Jumeirah an even better place to visit and live.
