Emirati Men Rescue Drowning Woman in London, UAE Praised Online

On Friday, two Emirati citizens, who were near the River Thames in London, acted heroically to rescue a woman from drowning. The incident, which took place in a busy area of the city, quickly garnered attention after a video of the dramatic rescue was shared widely on social media.

The video, first posted by Amjad Taha, an expert in strategic political affairs for the Middle East, on the platform X (formerly Twitter), shows the two men rushing to aid the struggling woman. Taha's post, which read, "Two UAE citizens rescue a woman from drowning in London. Wherever and whenever, saving lives is our mission," highlighted the bravery of the Emirati rescuers.

The footage captures the two men swiftly reaching the woman, who was in distress and struggling to stay afloat. They managed to pull her to safety, much to the admiration of bystanders who witnessed the rescue. Emergency medical personnel who were nearby attended to the woman, though the circumstances leading to her falling into the river remain unclear.

Social media users praised the Emirati men for their quick response and bravery. Muhammad Al Qubaisi wrote, “May God bless them and reward them with a thousand good things…” Another user commented, “The UAE has changed the world’s perception of Arabs. May God continue to bless the Emirates in their efforts to achieve peace and advance the world forward.”

Support and admiration continued to pour in from around the world. One user expressed, “They are the blessed Zayed’s children. May God bless them. They deserve to be honored.” Al Fahaadi added, “We love the youth of the Emirates; by nature, they are people of chivalry and fearlessness, inheriting these traits from their leadership, just like their Saudi brothers. The whole world bears witness to their magnanimity and dedication to helping others.”

Dick Ball noted, “The UAE obviously invested its wealth in its own people, and the results are showing in good ways. That should make you feel very proud.” Elliot, another user, shared, “I’ve never met any Emirati who wasn’t warm and welcoming, both in Europe and in the UAE.”

Florance Notarius reflected, “When a person loves life and all of God’s creation, they will do everything they can to preserve life. We are born with a duty to live, to bring love and kindness to the world through good deeds. That’s the way of the light. These two guys will be rewarded multi-fold.”
