UAE residents are seizing the opportunity to make the most of their vacation time, especially with bookings made just one day before the holiday kicks off. With the five-day break to celebrate the Islamic festival Eid Al Adha approaching, travelers can find enticing flight deals to various European destinations. Return flights to Italy start from Dh980, while fares to France begin at Dh1,135, and trips to Spain can be booked from Dh1,308. These attractive deals, sourced from the travel platform Skyscanner, offer budget-friendly options for those planning a getaway during the holiday period.
Travel inquiries have surged by up to 20 percent as families aim to combine the public holiday with the commencement of summer vacation, allowing for an extended break. Raheesh Babu, the Chief Operating Officer at online travel agency Musafir, notes an uptick in advance planning for trips to Europe, the USA, and other long-haul destinations. The anticipated holiday period is projected to span from Sunday, June 16, to Wednesday, June 19, with the inclusion of the weekend (Saturday, June 15), offering five consecutive days off. However, these dates are subject to moon sighting, which determines the start and end dates of Islamic calendar months.
