Egypt has announced that it will hold an emergency meeting for Arab countries on February 27. This meeting will focus on the current situation in Palestine and Gaza. The decision was made after Egypt talked to other Arab nations, including Palestine, which asked for this meeting. Bahrain, which is leading the Arab League this year, is also helping organize it.

This announcement comes after U.S. President Donald Trump made a controversial statement. He suggested that Palestinians from Gaza should be moved to nearby countries like Egypt and Jordan. Many countries, including Egypt and Jordan, strongly rejected this idea.

Trump shared his thoughts during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He said that the U.S. wanted to take control of Gaza and rebuild it after moving the Palestinian people. Egypt and Jordan have both clearly said they are against any plan that would force Palestinians to leave their homes.
