Egypt is set to welcome the new week with overcast skies as low and medium clouds gather over various regions of the country. This weather pattern is expected to bring cooler mornings and nights, with moderate daytime temperatures. According to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), scattered rain showers are also anticipated across several areas.

The EMA's weekly bulletin reports that the northwestern coasts will experience the heaviest cloud cover, which will gradually spread toward the northern coasts and parts of northern Lower Egypt. Rainfall is expected to be moderate to heavy along the northern coast and southern Lower Egypt, with the possibility of reaching parts of Greater Cairo on Sunday and Monday.
In addition to the rain, the EMA warns of strong winds affecting several areas, particularly in South Sinai. The authority also cautions drivers about the likelihood of morning fog forming on agricultural roads, highways, and bodies of water, which may reduce visibility and pose a risk to travelers.
As for temperatures, Cairo and the Nile Delta are expected to experience highs of 24-25°C, with lows dropping to 16-17°C throughout the weekend. These temperatures, coupled with the overcast skies and scattered showers, signal a noticeable shift towards cooler weather as the week begins.
