At IDEX 2025, EDGE is showcasing its most advanced radar and EO/IR systems, adding to its growing defense technology portfolio. Among the newly introduced radar systems is the NEMUS family, a set of active electronically scanned array (AESA) radars. These radars are built to handle multiple threats and are designed for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions, providing real-time situational awareness in critical operations.

Another major introduction is the TAWAQ series, a new generation of 3D radars for ground-based operations. These radars are equipped with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) features, which improve their ability to detect and track targets with greater accuracy and efficiency.

In the electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) category, EDGE is unveiling the MIRSAD family of surveillance and targeting systems. These systems are designed to enhance security in air, naval, and ground operations. They use state-of-the-art imaging, tracking, and laser designation technology to deliver sharp visuals and precise targeting, even in challenging environments.

EDGE is also expanding its capabilities in electronic warfare by introducing two new versions of its GPS PROTECT system: GPS PROTECT-4 and GPS PROTECT-8. These systems use advanced digital signal processing and array antenna technology to shield GPS receivers from radio-frequency (RF) interference, ensuring accurate positioning even in high-threat environments.

Additionally, EDGE is launching upgraded models of the SKYSHIELD counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS). The new variants, SKYSHIELD-N (for naval use) and SKYSHIELD-T (a trailer-mounted version) are designed to detect and disrupt unmanned aerial systems (UAS) by jamming their command-and-control signals across the GNSS spectrum.

Another highlight of EDGE’s showcase at IDEX 2025 is BORDERSHIELD, a newly developed surveillance system for border security. This high-tech solution combines AI-powered automatic detection with cutting-edge hardware, including a high-resolution radar, a thermal optical camera, and a C2 system. BORDERSHIELD can detect and track UAS, personnel, and vehicles up to 15 km away, providing real-time information to security teams. It also features a high-power cellular system that operates across multiple frequency bands, including GSM, UTMS, LTE, and 5G NSA.

These major advancements are backed by EDGE’s Technology & Innovation (T&I) cluster, a newly formed unit focused on accelerating research, enhancing production efficiency, and developing cutting-edge solutions for modern defense challenges. By consolidating expertise under this cluster, EDGE is strengthening its position as a global leader in defense technology and ensuring that its innovations are ready for real-world deployment.

With its latest lineup of advanced defense solutions, EDGE continues to push the boundaries of technology, offering powerful tools for military and security forces worldwide. These developments reinforce EDGE’s commitment to innovation, security, and operational excellence in modern warfare.
