Dubai International (DXB) is gearing up for a significant increase in traffic from July 6 to 17, with an anticipated total of 3.3 million guests arriving and departing through its terminals. This period will see a substantial influx of travelers, highlighting the airport’s robust growth this year.

During these 12 days, approximately 914,000 guests are expected to fly out of DXB, underscoring the airport's crucial role as a major global hub. The peak of this travel surge will occur over the weekend of July 12-14, with DXB preparing to welcome 840,000 guests, marking it as the busiest weekend in this timeframe. Specifically, July 13 is projected to be the single busiest day, with an estimated 286,000 guests passing through the airport. On average, DXB will handle around 274,000 guests daily during this peak period.

To ensure a smooth journey for all passengers, travelers are advised to allow extra time for check-in, security screening, and boarding processes. Dubai Airports remains committed to delivering an exceptional travel experience and appreciates the cooperation and understanding of its guests during this exceptionally busy travel season.

Travel Tips for a Smooth Experience:

  • Emirates Passengers: Take advantage of the airline’s home, early, and self-check-in facilities, including city check-in options.
  • flydubai Passengers: Arrive at least four hours prior to departure.
  • Other Airlines: Guests should aim to arrive at DXB no earlier than three hours before their scheduled departure time and use online check-in where available to save time.
  • Baggage and Packing: Familiarize yourself with your airline's baggage allowance and packing regulations to avoid surprises. Weigh your luggage at home and pack spare batteries and power banks in your hand luggage.
  • Security Screening: Save time by placing metal items like watches, jewelry, mobile phones, coins, and belts in your hand luggage. Follow guidelines for carrying liquids, aerosols, and gels.
  • Smart Gates: Families with children over 12 can expedite the passport control process by using Smart Gates.
  • Travel Documents: Ensure all necessary documents are ready and be aware of the latest travel regulations for your destination.
  • Farewells: Exchange farewells at home as only guests will be permitted inside the terminals during peak periods.
  • Dubai Metro: Use the Dubai Metro to get to and from the airport and between Terminals 1 and 3 to avoid road congestion.
  • Arrivals Forecourts: Access to the arrivals forecourts in both Terminals 1 and 3 is restricted to public transport and authorized airport vehicles only.

By following these tips, passengers can ensure a smoother and more efficient travel experience during the peak summer travel period at DXB.
