Dubai RTA: Vehicle Fines Must Be Settled Online by Motorists

Dubai RTA Announces End of In-Person Vehicle Fine Payments

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has announced a significant change in the way motorists can settle their vehicle fines. Effective immediately, motorists will no longer be able to pay their fines in person at the Customer Happiness Centres. Instead, all fine payments must be completed through the RTA's online platforms or designated smart service counters.

This move is part of RTA's ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency and convenience of their services through digital transformation. The RTA has developed multiple online channels to facilitate the payment process, ensuring that customers can handle their transactions quickly and securely from the comfort of their homes or offices.

New Payment Methods
Motorists can now pay their fines using the following methods:

RTA Website and App: The primary method for fine payments is through the RTA's official website and mobile app. These platforms allow users to search for their fines by vehicle plate number, license number, or Emirates ID. Once the fine is located, payment can be made using a valid GCC credit or debit card (RTA)

Smart Service Counters: RTA has introduced 24/7 smart service counters across Dubai, which offer a range of services, including fine payments, driving license renewals, and vehicle registrations. These counters support multiple languages and are designed to provide a seamless user experience

MOI UAE App: For those who have received fines in other Emirates, payments can also be made through the Ministry of Interior (MOI) UAE app. This app is available on both Apple and Android devices and offers a comprehensive service for managing and paying traffic fines

Benefits of the New System
The transition to digital payment methods is expected to bring several benefits:

Convenience: Motorists can settle their fines anytime and from anywhere, eliminating the need to visit a physical location.
Efficiency: The online systems are designed to be user-friendly and efficient, reducing the time spent on transactions.
Accessibility: The 24/7 availability of smart service counters ensures that services are accessible to everyone, even outside regular business hours.
RTA's Vision
This initiative aligns with the RTA's vision of creating a smart and sustainable transportation system in Dubai. By leveraging technology, the RTA aims to improve the overall customer experience and streamline their service delivery processes.

For more information on how to pay your fines and other services offered by the RTA, visit their official website or download their mobile app.

This change is a step forward in Dubai's journey towards becoming a smart city, ensuring that public services are efficient, accessible, and in line with global best practices.
