Dubai Police have launched the "You Made Me Happy" initiative for the tenth consecutive year, aimed at ensuring the welfare and happiness of children whose mothers are incarcerated in the emirate's prisons. Timed to coincide with Eid Al-Adha, the initiative provides essential support to these children, including clothing, food, regular medical check-ups, and educational activities such as reading and writing lessons.
The program is organized by the Child and Woman Protection Department of Dubai Police's General Department of Human Rights, in collaboration with the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions. It reflects Dubai Police's commitment to social responsibility and emphasizes values of tolerance and compassion by bringing joy to children during the Eid celebrations.

Colonel Jamila Al Zaabi, Director of the Women's Prison, highlighted the initiative's significance in fostering happiness among the children of female inmates. She expressed Dubai Police's dedication to promoting social welfare and supporting vulnerable groups within the community. The "You Made Me Happy" initiative not only aims to provide material assistance but also seeks to create a supportive environment that nurtures the emotional and educational needs of these children.
Through initiatives like this, Dubai Police continue to demonstrate their proactive approach to community welfare and their commitment to upholding human rights, particularly in ensuring that even children of incarcerated individuals receive care and attention during festive occasions like Eid Al-Adha.
