Dubai Maritime Authority, Gulf Craft Team Up for Marine Registration Services

The Dubai Maritime Authority, operating under the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, has formalized a strategic partnership with Gulf Craft, a leading name in the marine industry. This collaboration is designed to streamline the registration and licensing processes for maritime vessels, enhancing service delivery for clients.

The agreement was officially signed by Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Dubai Maritime Authority, and Abeer Alshaali, Deputy Managing Director of Gulf Craft. This partnership aims to create a unified platform that integrates the registration and licensing of maritime vessels within Dubai, thus improving the efficiency and ease of these procedures.

Under the terms of the agreement, customers will be able to purchase vessels from Gulf Craft’s sales outlets and complete their registration through the Dubai Maritime Authority's electronic system. This integration is governed by the legal framework set out in the signed agreement, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.

Sheikh Saeed emphasized that the collaboration aligns with governmental efforts to simplify processes for clients, in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance customer service and improve interactions with Dubai's governmental bodies.

He further highlighted the Dubai Maritime Authority's commitment to working closely with partners to regulate maritime vessel licensing effectively. This includes fostering cooperation among relevant entities and ensuring that all necessary resources and mechanisms are in place. The goal is to ensure that maritime vessels meet all approved technical specifications, adhere to required standards, and comply with regulations to ensure user safety.

Abeer Alshaali, Deputy Managing Director of Gulf Craft, expressed that the memorandum of understanding aims to refine and expedite the processes related to maritime vessels, including their registration, licensing, and inspection. This partnership is expected to save time and effort for clients while enhancing their satisfaction.

Alshaali also noted that this strategic alliance will boost the appeal of Dubai’s maritime sector, positioning it as a top destination for maritime enthusiasts and professionals. The enhanced procedural efficiency is anticipated to contribute positively to the sector's growth and reputation
