Italian fashion is poised to shine at Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) with the debut of "La Moda Italiana: Dubai Edition." Scheduled to run from September 1st to 7th, this inaugural event will be a highlight of the Spring/Summer 2025 edition of DFW, co-founded by the Dubai Design District (d3) and the Arab Fashion Council.
Organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in partnership with DFW, this new exhibition marks its first appearance in the UAE. It promises to showcase the finest in Italian fashion, offering attendees a chance to experience the latest trends from Italy. The exhibition will be open to the public from September 1st to 3rd at d3, a part of TECOM Group PJSC, and is set to underscore the growing influence of Italian fashion within the UAE market.

The "La Moda Italiana: Dubai Edition" will feature 25 esteemed Italian brands across diverse fashion categories, including clothing, footwear, leather goods, and eyewear. Each brand has been meticulously selected by the ITA to represent the zenith of Italian design and quality, bringing the essence of Italian fashion to Dubai. This event will be part of a vibrant schedule of runway shows and exclusive city events, with legendary Italian luxury brand Roberto Cavalli also announced as a Guest of Honour.
This collaboration between the ITA and DFW reflects the strong cultural and economic ties between Italy and the UAE. By showcasing Italian brands at the Spring/Summer 2025 edition, the event emphasizes DFW’s role as a conduit for strategic partnerships and market expansion, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a premier global fashion hub.
Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy to the UAE, remarked, "Italy epitomizes style and excellence, extending across fashion, lifestyle, art, and more. As the second-largest global apparel exporter, Italy continues to integrate top design and production standards with a focus on high-quality and sustainable textiles. Italian fashion exports to the UAE hit €838 million in 2023, and this figure is on the rise."
He added, "Fashion represents a crucial sector in digital exports, constituting about 66 percent of online exports of Made in Italy consumer goods. The launch of 'La Moda Italiana: Dubai Edition' will present the pinnacle of Italian fashion to a distinguished audience of key stakeholders."
Valerio Soldani, Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE, expressed enthusiasm for the event: “This marks a significant milestone as we introduce the Italian Fashion Showcase to Dubai Fashion Week. Our efforts aim to enhance our activities and align with the fast-paced growth of the Made in Italy brand in the Emirates. Italian fashion exports have surged to €378 million, reflecting a 38 percent increase as of April 2024.”
Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of Dubai Design District (d3), added, “The longstanding cultural and commercial connections between the UAE and Italy have enriched our bilateral relations. This collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency not only strengthens these ties but also fosters economic and commercial growth through the fashion sector. 'La Moda Italiana: Dubai Edition' will cement DFW's role as a gateway to new business opportunities and reinforce Dubai’s position as a global fashion capital.”
