Dubai Chamber Launches Slovak Business Council

Dubai Chamber of Commerce, which is one of the three chambers working under Dubai Chambers, has started a new group called the Slovak Business Council. This council has been set up to build stronger business ties between companies in Dubai and Slovakia. It will help both countries increase trade and investment in many different business areas.

The council was officially started during its first yearly meeting, held today at the Dubai Chambers’ headquarters. Business people and officials came together to talk about how they can work more closely, find new business chances, exchange knowledge and useful data, and plan future events where businesses from both sides can meet and collaborate.

This move shows that Dubai is becoming more attractive to Slovakian investors. By the end of 2024, the number of Slovakian companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce reached 134. This is a 41% increase compared to the previous year. In just the first three months of this year, 10 new Slovakian companies joined the chamber.

Trade between Dubai and Slovakia is also growing fast. In 2024, non-oil trade between the two places reached AED 3.4 billion, which is 38% higher than in 2023.

Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, said:“Starting the Slovak Business Council is an important step in making the economic relationship between Dubai and Slovakia stronger. This council will be a great platform for creating new business partnerships and helping trade and investment grow between the two sides.”

Business Councils like this one represent the companies and investors from a specific country who are working in Dubai. These councils work closely with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce to improve trade and investment connections. Their goal is to help create strong and lasting business relationships between Dubai and other countries.

This new Slovak Business Council will now play a key role in bringing businesses together, opening new doors for growth, and making the connection between Dubai and Slovakia even stronger.
