Dubai is quickly becoming a global home for digital companies. In the first three months of 2025, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy helped 127 new tech startups begin or grow their work in the city. This is more than double the number from the same time last year – a 135% increase – showing Dubai’s strong push to become a world leader in technology and innovation.
The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy is one of three chambers working under Dubai Chambers. Its main goal is to support new ideas, help small tech businesses grow, and bring new jobs and smart solutions to the city.
During this time, the chamber held four big events to help local business owners, connect people, and build trust between partners. They also helped 729 people learn new skills through special training programmes focused on digital tools and modern technology, so they’re ready for future jobs.
To make business easier, the chamber also improved its ‘Business in Dubai’ platform. This service helps companies find the right partners, investors, and customers. In the first quarter, 20 new service providers joined the platform, raising the total to 114. This means companies now have even more help and options to grow in Dubai.
H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of the Chamber, said that Dubai wants to be the best place in the world for tech and business. He said, “We are building a strong digital space with top-quality services and smart rules. We want small and big companies to grow and reach the world from Dubai.”
He added that the Chamber will keep pushing Dubai to be the first choice for investors, skilled workers, and new business ideas. This, he said, will bring long-term benefits to the city and its people.
To spread the word, the chamber also went on 12 overseas roadshows – a big jump from only 3 last year. These trips showed off Dubai’s tech-friendly culture and promoted the ‘Expand North Star’ event – the world’s biggest gathering for startups and investors, happening in Dubai Harbour from October 12 to 15, 2025.
The first tour visited the U.S., including Las Vegas, Phoenix, and San Francisco. Over 200 people from the tech world joined these events. Then the team went to Canada – visiting Toronto, Mississauga, and Vancouver – where over 350 business people, startup founders, investors, and policy makers attended. In March, the roadshow reached Australia, with meetings in Sydney and Melbourne, drawing over 400 people from the tech world.
These visits helped show the world that Dubai is open for business, full of opportunity, and ready to welcome bright minds and big dreams.
