Dubai Police have introduced drones to enforce COVID-19 safety measures and ensure public compliance. Colonel Saeed Al Madhani, Director of Ports Police Station, emphasized that the drones are part of a strategic effort to uphold government directives and prevent the spread of the virus. This initiative is particularly focused on the temporary closure of public and private beaches, as decreed by the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the National Authority for Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management.

Colonel Al Madhani highlighted the role of the "Nawras" (Seagull) project, a collaborative effort with the Drone Centre within Dubai Police. The drones are deployed to enhance security, monitor marine incidents, manage navigation, and ensure public safety on beaches. Equipped with cameras for day and night surveillance, the drones also feature loudspeakers to broadcast important messages and announcements from Dubai Police.
The public is advised to follow precautionary measures by avoiding crowded places and staying home to help curb the spread of COVID-19. Colonel Al Madhani extended his wishes for safety and security to all residents.
