Dubai, UAE — In a strong display of growing economic ties, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has recorded a 14% surge in Turkish companies joining its international business district over the past year. This rise brings the total number of Turkish firms registered with DMCC to more than 700, marking Türkiye as one of the fastest-growing investor communities in Dubai.
The announcement came during DMCC’s Made For Trade Live roadshow held in Istanbul, where more than 370 Turkish business leaders gathered to explore how Dubai’s global hub can accelerate their international growth. The event highlighted DMCC’s role as a magnet for companies in sectors such as energy, logistics, construction, agri-food, and technology.
The momentum reflects the accelerating UAE–Türkiye economic relationship under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which came into force in 2023. According to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade, non-oil trade between the two nations reached USD 44 billion between September 2024 and August 2025 — a 12% year-on-year rise that has already surpassed the five-year CEPA target of USD 40 billion.
Türkiye has emerged as the UAE’s fastest-growing partner among its top ten global trading partners, supported by reduced tariffs, improved market access, and stronger cooperation in services, logistics, digital trade, and advanced manufacturing.
Beyond trade, the UAE–Türkiye corridor continues to strengthen through strategic investments. DP World’s USD 650 million investment in the Yarımca terminal in 2016, and its merger with Evyap Group, have created one of the Marmara region’s most advanced logistics hubs. With direct rail links to the Middle Corridor and a capacity of over two million TEU, it has become a key enabler for expanding trade between the two nations.
This logistics strength is mirrored in the flourishing exchange of gold, jewellery, and diamonds between Dubai and Borsa İstanbul. Meanwhile, the growing trade in coffee, tea, and honey showcases the widening spectrum of collaboration in agri-food commodities.
Today, around one-fifth of all Turkish businesses operating in Dubai are based in DMCC, underscoring the district’s position as a gateway for companies seeking global reach. As part of its Made For Trade Live programme, DMCC continues to promote Dubai’s advantages to international investors — a strategy that has helped it account for 15% of Dubai’s total foreign direct investment inflows and contribute 7% to the emirate’s GDP.
With a community of over 26,000 businesses spanning commodities, technology, energy, and advanced services, DMCC stands as a driving force behind Dubai’s transformation into a global trade powerhouse — and Türkiye’s growing footprint is proof of that success.
