A Disneyland Resort employee tragically passed away following a golf cart accident, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Bonnye Mavis Lear, a 60-year-old woman with 24 years of service at the park, sustained a head injury in the backstage area of the California theme park.
Anaheim Police and Anaheim Fire and Rescue responded to the incident on Wednesday after being notified of the accident. Lear, who was seated as a passenger, fell from the moving cart, striking her head. She was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Ken Potrock, President of Disneyland Resort, conveyed condolences and emphasized the company's commitment to supporting Lear's family and colleagues. "We are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnye and offer our sincere condolences to everyone who cared for her," Potrock stated.

The focus remains on providing assistance to Lear's family and cast members during this difficult time, Potrock emphasized.
Rae Delgado, a Disney California Adventure Attractions cast member, shared details of Lear's injuries on Facebook. According to Delgado, Lear suffered brain swelling and a fractured skull. The incident occurred while Lear was seated in a rear-facing seat of a golf cart with three other passengers behind Critter Country. The vehicle was reportedly traveling at a high speed when it encountered a bump, causing Lear to fall as she attempted to grab the handrail.
Despite medical intervention, Lear's condition deteriorated rapidly, and she was pronounced brain dead early Thursday morning.
Delgado expressed frustration over the circumstances of Lear's death, attributing it to reckless driving and a malfunctioning golf cart. The post also criticized the management's alleged attempt to suppress discussion of the incident among cast members.
Calls for accountability and transparency regarding the circumstances surrounding Lear's death echoed through Delgado's Facebook post, emphasizing the need for justice and prevention of similar incidents in the future.
