Renowned songwriter Richard M. Sherman, part of the dynamic duo behind numerous Disney classics, passed away at the age of 95 due to complications from age-related illness, as announced by The Walt Disney Co. on Saturday.

Richard Sherman, along with his late brother Robert, formed an indelible mark on the realm of entertainment, crafting unforgettable tunes that have resonated with generations. Their contributions to beloved Disney films such as "Mary Poppins," "The Jungle Book," and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" have left an enduring legacy. A private funeral for Richard Sherman is scheduled for Friday, with Disney planning a celebration of life service to honor his remarkable contributions to the world of entertainment.
