DEWA’s AED 290M Hassyan Reservoir Nears Completion at 82%

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) said its big water reservoir in Hassyan is 82% complete. This reservoir will hold 120 million gallons of water and cost AED 290 million. The work is planned to be finished by the first part of 2025.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the boss of DEWA, said that this project will help ensure that Dubai always has safe and steady water. He said, “We are making Dubai’s water and electricity systems better and stronger. The Hassyan reservoir, along with other reservoirs in Al Lusaily, Enkhali, and Hatta, will help us store more water and handle the growing need for water. It will also make sure Dubai’s homes and businesses always have enough water to use.”

He also explained that when the project is finished, Dubai will be able to store 1.121 billion gallons of water. This means there will be enough water to use in case of emergencies or higher demand.

Abdullah Obaidullah, a senior DEWA official, said that the Hassyan reservoir is being built very carefully to meet the best standards in the world. This will ensure that Dubai’s water system is strong and ready for the future.

This project is part of DEWA’s big plan to make sure Dubai always has a strong and steady water supply to support its people, businesses, and growth.
