The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has once again taken a big step in the world of digital safety and technology. The Cybersecurity Council of the UAE (CSC) has confirmed that the second edition of the well-known CyberQ Conference will take place this year in the capital city of Abu Dhabi.

This important international event will be held on 26th and 27th November 2025 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). Experts say that this conference is one of the most respected gatherings for cybersecurity in the Middle East, and this year’s theme makes it even more special.

The theme for CyberQ 2025 is:
“Where Quantum, AI, and Cybersecurity Converge.”

This shows that the conference will focus on three of the most powerful and fast-growing areas of technology today: Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Cybersecurity.

A Gathering of Global Leaders

CyberQ will bring together policy makers, researchers, cybersecurity professionals, industry leaders, and technology experts from more than 100 countries. They will meet in Abu Dhabi to discuss the challenges and opportunities that come when advanced technologies like quantum computing and AI change the way the world handles digital safety.

The event will also create opportunities for countries and companies to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and build partnerships for a safer digital future.

Why Quantum and AI Matter for Cybersecurity

Quantum computing and artificial intelligence are two of the most powerful innovations of our time. But with their power comes a new set of dangers.

  • AI-driven attacks: Experts warn that hackers are now using AI to create faster and smarter cyberattacks. This means that traditional methods of defense are no longer enough.

  • Quantum challenges: Quantum computers are so powerful that they could break many of today’s common encryption methods. Encryption is the technique that keeps our digital information, like bank details and passwords, safe. Once quantum computers are advanced enough, they can solve extremely complex mathematical problems, which makes many old security methods useless.

This is why experts believe it is urgent to move towards post-quantum technologies—new systems and codes that can protect information even in the age of quantum computers.

Key Topics at the Conference

CyberQ 2025 will cover many important areas, including:

  1. AI-driven attacks and defense automation – How AI can both threaten and protect digital systems.

  2. Post-quantum technologies – New methods of encryption that can survive quantum-level computing power.

  3. Quantum cryptography – Using quantum science to build stronger, unbreakable security systems.

  4. Cybercrime risks – Understanding how organized groups are using advanced tools to attack systems worldwide.

  5. International standards – Discussing the need for global rules and cooperation so that countries work together on cybersecurity.

UAE’s Leadership in Digital Safety

The announcement of CyberQ 2025 reflects the UAE’s clear vision of becoming a world leader in cybersecurity and digital innovation.

Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, explained why the event is so important. He said that holding CyberQ for the second year in a row follows the directions of the UAE’s wise leadership. It also shows the nation’s commitment to being a global hub for data, technology, and safety.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti stressed that encryption and quantum computing are closely linked to cybersecurity, and it is urgent to address these issues. He explained that as quantum computers become stronger, they can solve very difficult problems that traditional computers cannot. This means that current encryption methods must be replaced with stronger ones before it is too late.

He also highlighted that cybersecurity needs to grow at the same speed as quantum technology, so that nations and people remain safe in the digital age.

Building a Strong Future Together

Dr. Al Kuwaiti also pointed out that organizing CyberQ two years in a row is a major step forward. It will help create more knowledge-sharing, support stronger international cooperation, and prepare countries for the future, where quantum technologies will bring both challenges and opportunities.

In simple words, the conference is not just about today’s problems but also about tomorrow’s world.

Voices from the Technology Innovation Institute (TII)

Adding to this, Dr. Najwa Aaraj, CEO of the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), expressed her excitement about CyberQ 2025. TII is a proud supporting partner of this global event.

She said that TII is dedicated to building strong local capabilities in the UAE in the areas of cryptography, AI, and quantum research. According to her, the world’s security systems are changing very fast, and it is necessary to use new and innovative methods to protect important infrastructure such as power plants, airports, banks, and government systems.

Dr. Aaraj mentioned some of the important projects TII is working on:

  • Post-quantum cryptography – creating codes that are safe even against quantum computers.

  • Quantum key distribution – a new way to secure communications using the laws of physics.

  • AI-driven cyber solutions – smart systems that can think and respond to threats quickly.

She said that CyberQ is the perfect platform to work with experts from around the world and to prepare for the coming quantum era.

Why This Matters for Everyone

Cybersecurity may sound like a topic only for experts, but it affects every single person today. From mobile banking and online shopping to social media and healthcare, almost all parts of life depend on digital systems. If these systems are not secure, personal data, money, and even national safety can be at risk.

That is why the UAE is making cybersecurity a top priority. By hosting conferences like CyberQ, the UAE is helping the world to stay one step ahead of hackers and cybercriminals.

The second edition of CyberQ in Abu Dhabi is more than just a conference. It is a global call to action. With the participation of experts from over 100 countries, the event will provide fresh solutions to the problems caused by quantum computing and AI in the world of cybersecurity.

The UAE’s Cybersecurity Council, together with partners like the Technology Innovation Institute, is showing that the nation is ready to play a leading role in shaping the digital future.

In a world where technology is growing at lightning speed, CyberQ 2025 is a reminder that cooperation, knowledge-sharing, and innovation are the only ways to keep our digital foundations strong and secure.
