On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has led the UAE delegation at the World Without Hunger Conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This high-level conference serves as a significant global platform for addressing challenges in food security and agriculture.
The conference, which was inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. Abiy Ahmed, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, was attended by senior government officials, experts, and representatives from various international organizations focused on agricultural development and food security. This event was organized in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the African Union Commission, and the Ethiopian government, with technical support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
The aim of the conference is to promote innovative technologies and sustainable practices that contribute to global food security. Key areas of discussion include enhancing agricultural production, strengthening food safety standards, improving infrastructure in the food sector, and the integration of energy solutions to support food security. Furthermore, the event addresses the critical role of women and youth in driving agricultural development, as well as investment opportunities in the agriculture and food industries.

During his speech, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the UAE's strong commitment to supporting global food security efforts. He also stressed the importance of sustainable solutions that mitigate the impact of climate change on agricultural production. The Crown Prince highlighted the UAE’s proactive approach in tackling global food security challenges and underscored the significance of global cooperation through the implementation of innovative strategies and technologies.
His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also extended his gratitude to the Republic of Ethiopia for hosting the World Without Hunger Conference and for inviting the UAE to participate in such an important international dialogue.
The Crown Prince is accompanied by a distinguished UAE delegation, which includes His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; His Excellency Mohamed Salem Al Rashdi, UAE Ambassador to Ethiopia; and His Excellency Omran Anwar Sharaf Al Hashemi, Assistant Foreign Minister of Advanced Sciences and Technology.
