Chadwick’s Death Hit Michael B. Jordan Hard: Coogler

Movie maker Ryan Coogler, who made the famous film Black Panther, shared how sad he and actor Michael B. Jordan felt after Chadwick Boseman passed away. Chadwick, who played the hero Black Panther, died in August 2020 because of colon cancer.

Ryan said that out of all the actors he worked with, Michael was the most hurt by Chadwick’s death. He remembered how good Chadwick was and how he helped everyone on set.

Ryan called Chadwick a “true man from the South” and said he was very kind, calm, and strong. He grew up in South Carolina and had strong values from his dad. Ryan said when he and Michael worked with Chadwick, they felt like young boys learning from a wise teacher.

Chadwick taught them many things, like how to be patient and focused. He always came early on set and did his work with care. He didn’t rush and stayed in his role without getting distracted.

Ryan also said that while making a new movie with Michael called Sinners, he still thinks about Chadwick. He told Michael, “What would Chad do in this scene?” That shows how much they still respect him.

Now, Ryan and Michael are working together again on Sinners, which will come to movie theaters on April 18. Even though Chadwick is gone, they still carry his lessons in their hearts. His kindness, strength, and way of working will always guide them.
