The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the UAE has announced the results for Class 10 and Class 12 on Monday, sparking jubilation among students in CBSE-affiliated schools. With high spirits, students eagerly attempted to log in to view their results as soon as they were released, encountering initial challenges with the login process. Despite some students facing difficulties accessing their results due to website congestion, the overall atmosphere remained optimistic as schools continued to tabulate the results. To access their results, students were required to provide details such as their admit card roll number, date of birth, examination centre, and school number.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, Pramod Mahajan, Principal of Sharjah Indian School, highlighted the initial hurdles faced by students attempting to check their results online. However, Mahajan noted that the process gradually eased within an hour, allowing more students to access their results. Meanwhile, Arogya Reddy, Principal of Ambassador School Sharjah, emphasized that while schools awaited the complete results from CBSE, individual students who managed to log in had already viewed their results. Reddy expressed satisfaction with the preliminary results, noting that any doubts regarding student performance had been clarified.

This year, the CBSE conducted the Class 12 exams from February 15 to April 2, while the Class 10 board exams took place from February 15 to March 13, 2024. To pass these exams, students must achieve a minimum score of 33 percent in both internal and external assessments across all subjects. Those failing to meet this criterion will not be eligible to appear for the compartment exam.
Looking ahead, CBSE has announced changes to the assessment and evaluation pattern for classes 10 and 12 starting from the academic year 2024-25. These changes include a greater emphasis on competency-focused questions in theory examinations, with a reduction in the weightage of constructed response questions to 30 percent from the existing 40 percent. This shift aims to align assessment practices with evolving educational needs and promote a more comprehensive evaluation of student learning outcomes.
Overall, the announcement of CBSE results in the UAE reflects a significant milestone for students and schools alike, marking the culmination of months of hard work and preparation. While challenges may have been encountered during the initial result viewing process, the determination and resilience of students have prevailed, paving the way for a brighter future as they embark on their academic and professional journeys.
