It should come as no surprise: the 2026 Latin Grammy Awards were all about Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican superstar took home Album of the Year for his landmark release Debí Tirar Más Fotos, dedicating the win to his family, collaborators, and his homeland: “Puerto Rico, I love you, thank you.”
The artist, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, started strong, winning Música Urbana Album for the first award of the night. He returned to the stage later to accept the Música Urbana Song trophy for “DTmF,” and performed a third time alongside Chuwi for “Weltita.” Reflecting his natural style, Bad Bunny admitted, “I never practice my speeches.”
While Bad Bunny was the star of the night, several other artists were recognized. Song of the Year went to Karol G, Andrés Jael Correa Ríos, and Édgar Barrera for Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido, and Record of the Year was awarded to Alejandro Sanz for ¿Y Ahora Qué?. Best New Artist went to Paloma Morphy, Traditional Tropical Album to Gloria Estefan for Raíces, and Ranchero/Mariachi Album to Christian Nodal for ¿Quién + Como Yo?.
The 26th annual Latin Grammys, held live from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, featured a high-energy mix of performances. Santana and Maluma opened with the classic Oye Como Va, Raphael delivered an emotive set including Qué Sabe Nadie, and Karol G with Marco Antonio Solís performed a romantic duet, Coleccionando Heridas. Grupo Frontera and Fuerza Regida energized the crowd with Me Jalo and Marlboro Rojo, while Rauw Alejandro, Elena Rose, Danny Lux, Kakalo, and Ivan Cornejo showcased contemporary Latin sounds. Carín León and Kacey Musgraves mesmerized with Ahí Estabas Tú and Lost in Translation.
The pre-televised Premiere Ceremony distributed many of the evening’s awards. Bad Bunny’s Voy A Llevarte Pa Pr won Reggaeton Performance, and Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso dominated, winning five awards including Alternative Music Album and Pop Song.
The show was hosted by Maluma and Roselyn Sánchez, bringing charisma and energy to a three-hour broadcast. Fans were treated to a dynamic mix of veteran legends and rising stars, reflecting the vibrancy and diversity of Latin music today. The 2026 Latin Grammys cemented Bad Bunny’s dominance while celebrating the rich spectrum of talent across the Latin music world.
