Varun Dhawan’s new action movie Baby John started off really strong when it was released on Christmas Day, earning a great amount of money. However, the movie has not been able to keep up the same speed, and its earnings have dropped for the third day in a row.
According to Sacnilk, a website that tracks box office collections, Baby John has earned a total of ₹19.65 crore (net) so far. The movie made ₹11.25 crore on its first day, but on the second day, it saw a huge drop of about 58 percent, earning only ₹4.75 crore. On day three, the movie earned ₹3.65 crore, taking the total earnings to ₹19.65 crore (net). On Friday, the movie had low audience attendance, with only 9.62 percent of available seats filled.
Even though Baby John made a great amount on its first day, it did not continue to perform well in the following days. In the past five years, Varun Dhawan’s biggest opening was for Kalank (2019), which made ₹21.60 crore on the first day. Varun’s last movies like Street Dancer 3D (2020), Jug Jugg Jeeyo (2022), and Bhediya (2022) did not make as much money on their first days in theaters.

The movie’s earnings drop might be due to the competition from Pushpa 2: The Rule, which has been doing well at the box office and attracting many viewers.
Baby John also stars Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and Rajpal Yadav, with Salman Khan making a special appearance. The movie, directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee, tells the story of a police officer who hides to protect his daughter. However, he must face his past when someone tries to harm her. Baby John is a remake of the Tamil film Theri, which starred Vijay.
The movie has received mixed reviews. Critics have said that the movie started off slow and took too long to become interesting. They also mentioned that the first half of the movie was boring. The main highlight of the movie was the action scenes, but the songs were not as exciting. Some reviewers even said that Salman Khan’s special role in the film was wasted and that he shouldn’t appear in so many movies for just a small part.
Even though Baby John had a good start, the movie’s box office numbers on day three show that its performance is going down. It remains to be seen if the movie will recover and earn more money in the coming days or if it will continue to struggle at the box office.
