Dubai Police Dominate Arqoub Al Sadeera Cycling Finale

Under the patronage and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Arqoub Al Sadeera race was held on Sunday as the final event of the 10th Al Salam Cycling Championship.

The race was organised by the Private Office of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai and is considered the largest and only race of its kind. The 100-kilometre route stretched from Al Samha in Abu Dhabi to Seih Al Salam in Dubai.

Winners in All Categories

In the Professional Men’s category, Jens Reynders of the Dubai Police team won first place. His teammates Yacine Hamza and Jullen Vermote secured second and third place respectively.

In the Amateur Men’s category, Helal Al Harbi from ABH Team finished first. Suleiman Manwal from Team Yasi came second, while Mohamed Faraj from Airwerks Team – Bin Hadher took third.

In the Professional Women’s category, Petra Zsanko from the Dubai Police team claimed the title. Her teammate Elena Ibramin finished second, and Daria Fomina, competing individually, placed third.

In the Amateur Women’s category, Ines Carrasco, competing individually, won first place. Habiba Aliwa from Airwerks Team finished second, while Zahra Hussein, also competing independently, took third.

Strong International Participation

The race attracted major community and international participation, with 367 cyclists representing 48 nationalities and 33 teams across men’s and women’s categories.

  • Professional Men’s: 46 cyclists from 35 nationalities (6 teams)

  • Amateur Men’s: 256 cyclists from 18 nationalities (19 teams)

  • Professional Women’s: 20 cyclists from 16 nationalities (3 teams)

  • Amateur Women’s: 45 cyclists from 14 nationalities (5 teams)

Team Standings

In the Professional Men’s team standings, Dubai Police finished first, followed by the General Directorate for Identity and Foreigners Affairs in second, and Abu Dhabi Cycling Club in third.

In the Amateur Men’s team standings, Airwerks Team – Bin Hadher won first place, followed by ABH Team in second, and the Ministry of Defence team in third.

In the Professional Women’s team standings, Dubai Police also took first place. The Dubai Residency team finished second, and Dubai Police Esaad team came third.

In the Amateur Women’s team standings, Airwerks Racing team secured the top position.

Prize Fund Increased to AED 800,000

Due to the strong public interest and large participation, the Higher Organising Committee increased the total prize fund from AED 700,000 to AED 800,000, which was distributed among top finishers across the four categories.

  • Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk, CEO of Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center

Omair Al Falasi thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his continued support, saying the leadership’s presence and encouragement has played a key role in motivating the community to adopt a healthier lifestyle through sports.

Unique Cultural Attraction

A special highlight of the concluding race was a camel caravan from the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center, which joined the event near Seih Al Salam, adding a traditional and cultural element to the finale.
